Voici un petit post “in english”…Une fois la béta de ce programme stable
je posterai en français
Hello!
I finished my beta 2 release of DarkRuler!!!
This application was made after an idea on the forum XDA (see my links). The
main goal is to “measure things using your phone and a credit card”
Here are few screenshots of this Beta2 :
Quick “How To Use” :
- Click on “GetImg” to take a picture of the object you want to measure with a credit card (or similar size object) in front
- Draw the line on the object (size will appear on the bottom)
- Click on the “top left button” to switch to “Box Move” (click again to switch back to “Line mode”) and move the box to the card (touch and move)
- Adapt the size of the box rolling around the pad (like the Zoom in GoogleMap)
Small things changed in this beta 2 :
- Added “inch” size
- Update of the SensorApi : this mean that now DarkRuler may be compatible with more devices! (Omnia?). I don’t have any so you may test !!
- Small bugs fixed (not really visible but exists)
- Added “Options Menu” : just a draft…
- Added “AutoUpdate” feature, see below for detail
It tooks me lots of time to implement the “AutoUpdate” feature in this release so it will be easier for you to get updated…
For developers I can give you an access to this function, and this is why it
took me so much time
Do not hesitate to contact me for detail!
This project will be put on CodePlex soon, and I will post here detail on the “AutoUpdate” feature.
Any feedback are really appreciated!

would it be possible to automatically find edges of your creditcard (if we point it first and it has plain and different from bacground color) and if(when) its not alinged just right to compensate perspective somehow.. it doesnt have to be 3D(thats prettymuch impossible with one picture), but we can assume that measureable things are flat..
implement that and sell it to james bond
